In 2000 John Henry was residing in Jackson, Ohio.³  In 2008 John Henry was residing in Michigan.⁴  

John Henry Hanshaw died Feb 9 2012, Valleyview Care Center, Frankfort, Ohio; age 84.¹  

John's obituary was published in "The Columbus Dispatch" (Columbus, Ohio) on February 12 2012:¹

John Henry Hanshaw, 84, of Frankfort, formerly of Allensville, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Valleyview Care Center in Frankfort.  He was born October 10, 1927 in Gallup, Kentucky, son of the late David C. and Leora Spurlock Hanshaw.  He work [sic] at Ohio Malleable and was a farmer.  John is survived by his sons, Charles (Joyce) Hanshaw, John Dale (Julie) Hanshaw, Russell (Tracy) Conley, William (Annmarie) Hanshaw, Scot Hanshaw and Robert (Tessa Edwards) Hanshaw; daughters, Ellen Kay Riley, Brenda (Richard) Gilmore and Rhonda Hanshaw; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 at New Beginnings Freewill Baptist Church, 4239 State Route 316, Asheville, Ohio, 43103, with Pastor Dave Bowens officiating.  Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W.
