SUMMITVILLE -- Logan E. Hinshaw, 70, a retired Summitville businessman, died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday at the Bethesda Memorial Hospital at Boynton Beach, Fla. He had been a patient at the hospital for ten days.
Mr. Hinshaw was born July 30, 1883, near Winchester. He formerly owned the Hinshaw Grain Co. at Summitville and had been engaged in the grain business for 40 years before his retirement in 1949.
Mr. Hinshaw and his wife, the former Drucilla Holiday, moved to Florida three years ago. Mr. Hinshaw was a member of the Summitville Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and the Order of Eastern Star and was a charter member of the Summitville Lions Club.
The body will be brought to the Ewing Funeral Home in Summitville. Funeral arrangements are tentative but friends probably will be received after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Services have been set tentatively for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Jennings and the Rev. John Patterson officiating. Burial will be [sic] the Union Cemetery near Eaton.
Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
