Born Ora J. Maynard, after her mother died in 1903 she was adopted by her mother's widowed mother and became Ora J. Hinshaw.7  

Ora was shown in the 1910 census (Apr 25 1910), living with her widowed maternal grandmother in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana:2

Henshaw, Malinda, head-of-household, age 68, born in Indiana; father born in Kentucky; mother born in Indiana; widow; occupation: own income; rented home.
Henshaw, Ora, granddaughter, age 17, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana; occupation: servant.

She married Thomas E. "Tommy" Johnson, Jul 3 1913, Madison County, Indiana.3,6  (Probably Thomas Ellsworth Johnson).8  Thomas, son of William T. Johnson & Lodenia Fergason, was born Sep 24 1894, Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana.3,4,5,6,9,10,11

Franklin L. Johnson, born Dec 10 1915, Madison County, Indiana; apparently died young. 9

On Jun 5 1917 Thomas E. Johnson, age 22, registered for the World War I draft in Monroe Township, Madison County, Indiana.  He declared he was born Sept. 24 1894 in Alexandria, Indiana, and was then residing at 708 S. Canal in Alexandria where he had a wife and two children and was employed as a laborer by the Alexandria Paper Co.  He was recorded as short, medium build, blue eyes, brown hair.11

Johnson, Chester E., son, age 2 years 8 months, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana.
Johnson, Glen H., son, age 11 months, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana.
Living nearby in 1920 was the family of uncle William Henry Hinshaw.14  

Ora and family were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 3 1930), 708 Canal St., Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana:5

Ellsworth [sic], Thomas E., head-of-household, age 35, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana; first married at age 19; owned home ($1000 value); no radio in home; occupation: [..unclear..], elect. co.; not a war veteran.
", Ora, wife, age 37, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana; first married at age 21.
", Ruth, daughter, age 16, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana; attended school.

Ora J. Maynard died before 1954.12
