William Thomas Howell Jr.   Died Aug. 20, 2006 William Thomas Howell Jr., 58, of Gainesville died Sunday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.   Complete arrangements will be announced by Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville.

W.T.'s obituary was noted in "The Times" (Gainseville, Georgia) on Tuesday, August 22, 2006:²

William Thomas Howell Jr.   William Thomas Howell Jr., age 58, of Griffin Drive, Gainesville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at his residence following a sudden illness.   Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The Rev. David Miller will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 11 to 2 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at the funeral home.   Mr. Howell was born in Sandersville to the late William Thomas Howell Sr. and Sarah Ruth (Mobley) Howell.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Mr. Howell moved to Gainesville in 1985 and retired from Electrolux in 1996.  He was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church.  He was a great husband and daddy.   Survivors include his wife, Sue Ellen (Hinshaw) Howell, Gainesville; daughters, Kelly Anne Howell, Gainesville, and Laura Michele Howell, Gainesville; daughters and son-in-law, Sonya Lea Griffith and Perez Alexander Griffith, Athens, and Stacie Howell Greene and James Russell Greene, Bluffton, S.C.; son and daughter-in-law, William Thomas Howell III and Lauren Elizabeth Howell, Oakwood; grandchildren, Hannah, Cameron and Skylar Griffith; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Ken Colson, Warner Robins; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Frank Howell and Beverly Howell, Starkville, Miss.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Sue Ellen currently (2006) resides in Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia.¹
