She married Robert Charles Snodgrass, Nov 20 1856, Dry Grove, McLean County, Illinois.^1,6,7,8 Robert, son of Joseph Snodgrass & Catherine F. Lawson, was born Nov 11 1830, Illinois.^8,9 According to folklore, Robert fought in the Mexican War and met Nancy on his way back to Illinois.⁸

Nancy and Robert both died in McLean County, Illinois and are buried in Dry Grove.¹¹
