Arthur was a World War I veteran.^5,7  On Jun 5 1917 Arthur Edward Henshaw, age 24, registered for the World War I draft in Norwich, New London County, Connecticut.  He declared he was born "September -- 1892" in East Haddam, [Middlesex County,] Connecticut, and he was then residing on Canterbury Turnpike, Norwich, Connecticut where he was single, without dependents, and a farm hand employed by S.A. Beelie of Norwich.  He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, dark brown hair.³  

Arthur was shown in the 1920 census (Jan 23-24 1920), living with the family of sister Addie on Bridge Street, Sprague Township, New London County, Connecticut:⁴

Arthur was shown in the 1930 census (Apr 12 1930), living with the family of sister Addie in Lisbon, New London County, Connecticut:⁵

He married Agnes Alphonsine Gadue.^1,7  Agnes, daughter of Adelard Gadue & lphonsine Sophronie Savageau, was born Apr 24 1908, Connecticut.^1,6,7,8
