James Hanshaw BURBANK -- James Clark Hanshaw, 63, 31 E. Britton Road, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, 2007, at his home after a courageous battle with Amyloidosis.
Services will be Sunday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. David Kearns-Preston officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday, Nov. 24, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jim was born in Valley Fork, W.Va., the son of Homer and Mary Virginia (Sutton) Hanshaw and married Barbara A. Tuttle on June 20, 1965. She survives.
He had served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and had worked at Coolis Fruit Farm, Smuckers and Main Mold Machine prior to working at the Ford Motor Brook Park Plant, where he retired from.
He had made his home in the Creston area for the past 42 years, where he was active in Creston Village Council, the Creston Fire Department, Creston Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1224 and was a Boy Scout leader. He had been past president of Norwayne Band Boosters and was active in supporting and passing various school levies. He had been director of the Wayne County Soap Box Derby and served on the All American Soap Box Derby Control Board.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of Canaan Farmers Sportsmen's Club. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing and working Sudoku puzzles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, John Hanshaw and his fiancee, Sandra of Canton, Ariann (Jason) Steen of Burbank and Julie (Adam) Sich of Akron; a granddaughter, Samantha Steen; his mother of Ashland; sisters, Delphia (Dale) Satterfield of Ashland, Carol (Ronnie) Causey of Richfield, and Norma (Richard) Darr of Medina; brothers, Henry (Karen) Hanshaw of Tallmadge, Paul Hanshaw of Valdese, N.C., and Spencer (Maricia) Hanshaw of Vinton, Va.; and an uncle, John Sutton of Orlando, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father; an infant brother, Billy; and his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Jeanette Tuttle.
