Skyling is the first grandchild for Jan Gray Hinshaw, Jr. and Christine Renee Davis, and the first great-grandchild for Jan Gray Hinshaw, Sr.. Skyling's great-great grandfather, John Clarkson Hinshaw, would be very proud, as would Christine's late brother, Stephen Monroe Davis.1
