In 2008 James was living in Herrin, Illinois.8  

Betty died Dec 15 1989, Goreville, Johnson County, Illinois; buried Busby Cemetery, Goreville, Johnson County, Illinois.5,7  

James Finis Henshaw died Apr 13 2013, age 89.4,5  

James' obituary was published in "The Daily Register" (Harrisburg, Illinois) on Monday, April 15, 2013:4

James F. Henshaw, 89, born Feb. 22, 1924, in Carrier Mills to Finis "Red" and Audie Henshaw went to be with Jesus at 9:40 p.m. April 13, 2013.  

Mr. Henshaw served his country faithfully in World War II where he was injured in Germany.  He was later able to return home where he ran Scenic View in Buncombe for a number of years.  He retired from J+R Heating and Air.  He was a member of the V.F.W. in Vienna and the American Legion in Carrier Mills.  

He is survived by his companion of 23 years, Lucille Woodford of Energy; two daughters and son-in-laws, Tamra and David Moore of Marco Island, Fla., Pam and John Pearson of Harrisburg; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Renee Henshaw of Carbondale; and daughter, Kerrye Annable of Fiat; three grandchildren, Jeneane and Bill Bloodworth of Marion, Callie and Michael Thompson of Fort Myers, Fla., and Samuel Annable of Peoria.  

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Henshaw; three brothers, Charlie Henshaw, Harry Henshaw, A.J. Henshaw; and sister, Sarah Tanner.  

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin with Pastor Kevin McNeely officiating.  Interment will be in Busby Cemetery in Goreville.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial Donations made be made to the American Legion Post 364, 17 West Clark Street, Carrier Mills, IL 62917.
