Born May 22 18815,6,7,8,10,11 [Dec - 18829], Radcliffe, Hardin County, Iowa5,6,7,8,10,11.  

He married Maude E. Rash1,3,4,13, Feb 16 19051,3,4,13 [Feb 16 190410], Eldora, Hardin County, Iowa1,3,4,13.  Maude, daughter of Columbus Elliott Rash & Martha E. "Mattie" Smith, was born Jul 31 1883, Iowa.1,2,5,6,7,11  

Wayne was married the same day that his sister Lake married Clifford Rash (Maude's first cousin once removed), both married in Eldora, Iowa, although not in a double ceremony.13  

At Honey Creek MM (Iowa) on 3-14-1914, Wayne & wife Maud and children Forrest W. & Evaline T. were received on a certificate.  They were again received on a certificate on 4-11-1914.3  

Wayne and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 9 1920), Bennezette Township, Butler County, Iowa:5

At Honey Creek MM on 8-24-1932, Wayne & wife Maud and children Forest, Evelyn, and Mary Agnes (minors) were granted a certificate to New Providence MM, Iowa.3  

The following article was published in "The Iowa Recorder" (Greene, Iowa) on March 15, 1939:12

Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Rash Lived in
Greene 18 years -- Now Reside
at Union, Iowa

Mr. and Mrs. Columbus E. Rash of Union celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary Tuesday at their home in Union with a family dinner and friends and relatives calling in the afternoon.  The dinner guests included Mr. and Mrs. Wain Hinshaw and family, Mrs. Walter Johnson of New Providence and Solon Rash and William Smith of Union.  

Mr. and Mrs. Rash were married at Union March 7, 1881, and have lived their entire married life with the exception of 18 years spent in Greene.  

Mrs. Rash fell and fractured her hip four years ago and is blind.  Mr. Rash is in good health.

The following article was published in "The Iowa Recorder" (Greene, Iowa) on January 11, 1950:14

Mrs. C. E. Rash returned Sunday from the Waverly hospital, where she has been the past six weeks with a broken hip.  Her daughter, Mrs. Wayne Hinshaw of New Providence, is here caring for her.

The following article was published in "The Hardin County Index" (Eldora, Iowa) on Friday, March 10, 1950:15

Mr. and Mrs. Wain [sic] Hinshaw attended a birthday dinner Sunday at Marshalltown in the home of Mr. Hinshaw's sister, Mrs. Elsie Mason, whose birthday was that day.  Others present included Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hinshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Faye Hinshaw and son, Mervin, southwest of Union; Mrs. Ruth Nugent of Liscomb; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mason and two sons of Albion and Mr. and Mrs. Justin Davis of Marshalltown.

Wayne Hinshaw died Dec 14 1956, Liscomb, Marshall County, Iowa; buried New Providence Cemetery, Providence Township, Hardin County, Iowa.7,11,16  

Wain's obituary was published in "The American Friend" on January 10, 1957 (page 15).16  

Maude died 1962, buried New Providence Cemetery, Providence Township, Hardin County, Iowa.7,11  A gravestone transcription shows she died in 1932,11 but this is in conflict with other sources, including the newspaper reports above; a transcription error probably occured.
