JULIAN -- Mrs. Emma Fay Hinshaw Coltrane went to meet her Savior on January 2, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel with burial at Gilmore Memorial Park.
Mrs. Coltrane was born in Randolph County on January 28, 1937 to the late Hubert and Ethel Hancock Hinshaw. She retired from the Guilford County Board of Elections after nearly forty years of service.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Daniel Coltrane of the home; daughters, Rena McLeod (Ronnie) of Julian, Sherrie Brewer (David) of Climax; son, Eugene of the home; brother, Claude Hinshaw (Iris); sister, Laura Frye (Bobby), and twin brother, Ray Hinshaw (Patty), all of Climax; six grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel (Lauren), Beth (Josh), Krystal, Tina and Becca; one step-great-grandchild, Claire, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all of the great, caring staff of MCH 2900 Critical Care Unit, Steve Campbell of MCH Respiratory Therapy and the Lebauer Critical Care doctors that took such good care of Fay and her family during her illness.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5 at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home in Pleasant Garden.

DANIEL LEE "DANNY" COLTRANE JULIAN -- Mr. Daniel "Danny" Lee Coltrane, died peacefully at his home on November 5, 2012 following a long battle with heart disease.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14 at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel. Interment will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park.
Danny was born in Guilford County on January 11, 1930 to the late Vernon Eugene and Cora Carter Coltrane. He graduated from Nathaniel Greene High School, class of 1948. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War with the 36th truck company in the KCommZ Unit stationed in Incheon, Korea. He worked several years with Boren Brick in Pleasant Garden, following his lay-off he worked for Beaman Corporation in Liberty and retired in 1992 after 24 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Hinshaw Coltrane; brothers, Frank Coltrane, Robert "Bobby" Coltrane; and sister, Gertrude McLendon.
Survivors include daughters, Rena McLeod (Ronnie) of Julian, Sherrie Brewer (David) of Climax; son, Eugene of the home; six grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel (Lauren), Beth (Josh), Krystal, Tina and Becca; one step great-grandchild Claire; sister-in-law, Laura Frye (Bobby), brother-in-law, Ray Hinshaw (Patty); numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all of the amazing staff of Hospice, Dr. Randall Harris, Dr. Jay Varanasi and their staff for taking such good care of Danny during his illness.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made in Danny's memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
