On Nov 17 1944 Levi L. Hinshaw, born 1916 in Illinois, then a resident of Illinois, enlisted at Indianapolis, Indiana as a private in the U.S. Army. He declared he had 3 years of high school and was then married.9 Levi served in the U.S. Army from Nov 17 1944 to Oct 27 1946.6

Nadine E. Hinshaw (nee Snyder), age 97, of Michigan City, IN passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home in Michigan City, IN.
Nadine was born on November 14, 1917 in Three Oaks, MI to Fred and Ethel (nee Ellenwine) Snyder who preceded her in death.
Nadine is survived by her five grandchildren: Deb (Allen) Leazenby, Ron (Cinda) Hinshaw, Jeff (Becky) Hinshaw, Kim (John) Pappas and Mark (Trina) Downs; ten great- grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Levi Hinshaw; son: Ronald Hinshaw; brother: Harry Snyder and sister: Mabel Hoaglund.
Nadine was a resident of Michigan City for most of her adult life. Nadine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Michigan City, IN. She belonged to the Ladies of the Moose, Elks Lodge and was active in the Red Hat Society. Nadine was a member of the VFW Auxillary and the Skwiat Post Auxillary and other community organizations. She loved dancing and her dear friends from Simeon Square.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home located at 613 Washington St. Michigan City, IN.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Reshan of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating.
Entombment will follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
