He married Clara Bell Shelly1,2,11 [Clare Bell Shelly3], about 18861,2,11.  Clara, daughter of Richard M. Shelly & Millie Lemon, was born May 6 1868, Iowa.1,2,4,5,7,9,10,11  Clara's stepmother was the widow of Tilman's cousin Ezra Ira Hinshaw.12  

At Richland MM on 4-1-1893, Clara Hinshaw was received by request.1

Lightning struck the Hinshaw house last Wednesday.  The chimney was torn down and the brick fell on Dickey Hinshaw.
