WILLIAM ELBERT "BILL" HINSHAW HARRISONBURG, VA -- William "Bill" Elbert Hinshaw, 87, of Harrisonburg, VA, passed away, October 9, 2012 at his home. Mr. Hinshaw was born in Liberty, NC, on May 1, 1925, and was a son of the late William David and Lola (Andrews) Hinshaw. Mr. Hinshaw was a veteran of WWII, Pacific Theatre, and was a career textile executive.    He was a lifelong active member in his church and a devoted father and husband. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rachel (Hornaday) Hinshaw. Mr. Hinshaw is also survived by two sons, William M. Hinshaw and wife Connie of Macon, GA, Randall H. Hinshaw and wife Linda of Harrisonburg, VA; a brother, Robert C. Hinshaw; a sister, Myra Hinshaw Way; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Ivan Hinshaw, and a sister, Edith Hinshaw Moore. Mr. Hinshaw will be interred at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Liberty, NC, 3 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Sentara Health Foundation, 6015 Poplar Hall Drive, Suite 308, Norfolk, VA 23502-3819.
