Mary Ann was probably closely related to the family of William Hinshaw #763.17 Some of William's family were also born in Guilford County, North Carolina and finally settled in Hawkins County, Tennessee. The Sarah Hinshaw/Henshaw shown in censuses above might possibly have been William's daughter, Sarah Hinshaw #766, who would have been of the right age to be consistent with the above censuses, and whose life details are unknown (she might have remained unmarried, living with Mary Ann's family).17
