1957 ~ 2016
St. George- Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on September 22, 2016 from a courageous battle with melanoma, he was 58. He was surrounded by his sons and family.
Jay was born on October 20, 1957 to Melvin and Barbara Spear Henshaw. He was the 7th of nine children. Jay enjoyed cruising the back roads and travelling on his BMW motorcycle, loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He loved to tell stories and could remember every detail. Jay is survived by his two sons; Tyler (Keri) Henshaw, and Mick (Brittany) Henshaw; grandchildren, Vanessa, Sydney, Gavin, Reese, and Meagan; siblings, Anne, Dee, Glenn, Larry, Gary, Jean, Ross and David. He is preceded in death by his mother and father.
A graveside memorial will be held in his honor on Wednesday the 28th of September at 1:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawns Cemetery, 3401 S Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, UT 84106. Funeral service provided by Premier, you may leave your condolences online at www.premierfuneral.com. Special thanks to Jay's daughter-in-law Brittany for the loving round-the-clock care she provided him in his final weeks.
