She married Fred Lewis Boyd7,8,9 [L. Frederick Boyd10], Dec 21 19407,8,9, Randolph County, North Carolina7,8,9.  Fred, son of David Watson Boyd & Byrdie/Bertie E. Shillinglaw, was born Jul 16 1919, Rock Hill, York County, South Carolina.4,10,11,12,13

Jimmy Lewis Boyd, born Oct 8 1943, Randolph County, North Carolina; died Jun 15 2016, Randolph Hospice Center, Asheboro, North Carolina; married Brenda Brazier, Apr 11 1964 (children: Tina, Terri, Michael, and Jimmy Lewis Bord, Jr.). 18

On Oct 14 1944 Fred L. Boyd, born 1919 in South Carolina, then a resident of Randolph County, North Carolina, enlisted at Camp Croft, South Carolina as a private in the U.S. Army.19  

Mary and Fred divorced.20  

Fred remarried to Violet Christine Seymore, by whom he had three more children: Violet Elizabeth "Beth" Boyd, Lee Fred Boyd, and Pat Lewis Boyd.1  Fred died Jan 3 1997, Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina; age 77.12  

She then married James Thomas Henson, Dec 26 1966, Randolph County, North Carolina.7,9  James was born May 21 1924.5

Mary Hinshaw Boyd Henson, age 89, of Asheboro died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation in Asheboro.  

Mrs. Henson was a native of Asheboro, growing up on a farm that was located just adjacent to Giles Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a member.  

She was formerly employed with Western Auto during the 1950's and later was employed with Laughlin Hosiery Mill, where she retired.  Everyone who came in contact with her loved her and she loved them back by sharing her cakes, pies, and her famous recipes.  

She is survived by her husband: James T. Henson; Sons: Jimmy Boyd, and his wife, Brenda, of Asheboro and Bill and his wife, Renee Boyd of Burlington, NC; Step daughter, Cheryl, and her husband, Larry Batchelor of Martinez, Georgia; Eight Grandchildren, and Eleven Great Grandchilden.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro, NC.  

The funeral will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, the Rev. Tom Boyd officiating.  Burial will follow in Giles Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  

Memorials may be made to Giles Chapel United Methodist Church, 1627 Giles Chapel Rd., Asheboro, NC 27203 or the Alzheimers Association, Carolina Piedmont Chapter, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
