On Oct 14 1944 Fred L. Boyd, born 1919 in South Carolina, then a resident of Randolph County, North Carolina, enlisted at Camp Croft, South Carolina as a private in the U.S. Army.¹⁹

Fred remarried to Violet Christine Seymore, by whom he had three more children: Violet Elizabeth "Beth" Boyd, Lee Fred Boyd, and Pat Lewis Boyd.¹ Fred died Jan 3 1997, Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina; age 77.¹²

She then married James Thomas Henson, Dec 26 1966, Randolph County, North Carolina.^7,9 James was born May 21 1924.⁵

Mary Viola Hinshaw died Nov 14 2009, Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina; age 89.^2,4,5,9
