Lance Alan Hinshaw, age 20, of 2321 Hopewell Friends Rd, Asheboro died Sunday, October 19, 2008.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson and Rev. Brent Price officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Lance was a native of Asheboro, was a 2007 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School and attended Randolph Community College. He was an avid fisherman and loved his dogs.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lynn and Leonard Polanco of Greensboro, NC; father and stepmother, Mark and Dee Hinshaw of Asheboro, NC; grandparents, Lois and Reid Kearns of Asheboro, NC; J.R. and Betty Hinshaw of Asheboro, NC; Bev and Wanda Brown of Claremore, OK; uncle and aunt, Jody and Michelle Hinshaw of Asheboro, NC; uncle and aunt, Rodney and Beth Kearns of Atlanta, GA.
Memorials may be made to the Randolph County Schools Endowment Fund, 2222-C South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27205; or the Randolph County D.A.R.E. Program or C.A.R.E. Program, Attn: Deputy Traci H. Williams, 727 McDowell Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205.
