Living next door was the family of Wm. Bryson, age 365 (possibly a brother),6 which included a Richard Bryson, age 605 (possibly his father).6 Also living nearby were Joseph and Margaret Bryson, age 64 and 587 (possibly his parents).6
Also living nearby in 1850 were Eli Henshaw8 and David Henshaw.9

HON. ELI BRYSON, mayor of Celina, and a representative citizen of the place, was born in Butler county, Pa., June 26, 1843. He is a son of Thomas and Hannah (Henshaw) Bryson, both natives of Pennsylvania, the former of Butler, the latter of Bucks, county. In 1854 they removed to Wells county, Ind., locating on a farm about three miles from Montpelier, where they are now leading a retired life, the father being in his eighty-fourth year, the mother also of the same age. The father was born July 26, 1812, and the mother February 25, 1812. They were the parents of nine children, six sons and three daughters, of whom four of the sons and three daughters still survive.
Eli Bryson was in his eleventh year when his parents removed to Indiana. ...
