Mrs. Henry Hinshaw, a well-known local musician, will be pianist for the operetta, "Jack and the Beanstalk," which is to be presented Saturday afternoon and evening at the German House for the benefit of the Indianapolis Playgrounds Association. Music will be furnished by the Shortridge High School Orchestra. The advance sale of seats for the production has been strong and the managers are putting the finishing touches on the cast after several weeks of hard work with the principals and the juvenile chorus.

Woman Who Was Music Teacher
When 14 Years Old Is DeadMrs. Minnie Power Hinshaw, 23 years old, wife of Henry Hinshaw, and one of the best known musicians in Indianapolis, died at midnight Tuesday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Power, 824 Udell street. Mrs. Hinshaw had been in ill health since last August, and underwent an operation in October at the Methodist Hospital. She then was taken to her parents' home, where she suffered a relapse in January, and had been failing since. The funeral will be held at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at her parents' home.
Mrs. Hinshaw began the study of music when very young in Bucyrus, O., and graduated from the Indianapolis Conservatory of Music as a student of the piano when only 13 years old. At 14 she was a teacher of music and had twelve pupils. She played in recitals and entertainments throughout the state and was pianist at the Sloan School, of which she also was a graduate, for five years. In addition to teaching music, she composed a number of pieces. When but 8 years old she composed a number entitled "Papa's Birthday".
She is survived by her husband, by a 4-year-old daughter, by her parents and by two brothers, William J. and Robert S. Power. Her father and brothers also are musicians.

He declared he was born January 4 1881, and was then residing at 701 North East St., Indianapolis, Indiana where he was a self-employed undertaker. He declared his nearest relative was Jeanne Hinshaw of the same address. He was recorded as medium height, stout, brown eyes, brown hair.3
