Hinshaw of Burlington.  He was recorded as 5'4" tall, 130 lbs., blue eyes, brown hair, freckled & light complexion, and "scar on right hand".²  

He married Adelle Mirtics Ricks Williams^8,9 [Adelle Mirtics Ricks⁹], Jul 1 1949^8,9, Alamance County, North Carolina^8,9.  Adelle, daughter of William Nate Ricks & Clara Barkley, was born Sep 15 1924, Roanoke Rapids Township, Halifax County, North Carolina.^6,8,9,10  

Adelle had apparently been previously married, and had a son, Larry Ronald Williams (married Linda Sue Coe, Aug 9 1964).^11,12  

James Norwood Hinshaw died Aug 15 1962, Davidson County, North Carolina; age 40.^3,6,7

Adelle Ricks Hinshaw NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Adelle Ricks Hinshaw, 80, formerly of Burlington, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2005.  Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pam Foust Williams of N. Myrtle Beach.  Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, Burlington, N.C.  Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
