He married Maude Martha McNay^{2,8,15,16,17,18} [Martha Maude McNay¹⁹], Jan 30 1894^{2,8,15,16,17,18}, United Methodist Church, Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana^{2,8,15,16,17,18}.  Maude, daughter of Robert McNay & Martha Ann Collins, was born May 12 1874, Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana.¹⁸  Marriage by Rev. Allen Lewis.¹⁶  

Marvin and Maude divorced.²⁰  Maude remarried to Hadsell Alden Mills,²⁰ Jun 14 1899, Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana.¹⁸  She then had additional children:

He then married Della Grace Amerson, Aug 8 1900, Lone Tree Point, Antrim County, Michigan.^{1,2,8,9,17,23}  Della, daughter of William Amerson & Matilda Harriett Schaubel, was born about 1880, Illinois.^1,6,10,24,25  

Marvin and his brother ran the Chicago Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Art.^4,5  In 1902 Marvin was with the "Hinshaw School of Elocution, Oratory and Music", and was Director of "The Hinshaw School of Opera and Drama", then located in the Steinway Theatre Building in Chicago.²⁶  

Marvin and family were shown in the 1910 census (Apr 25 1910), 1010 East 7th Avenue, Denver, Colorado:⁶

In 1911 Marvin was living in Chicago, Illinois.²⁷  

On Sep 12 1918 Marvin Victor Hinshaw, age 44, registered for the World War I draft in Chicago.  His residence was recorded as 725 N. Central, Chicago.  He was recorded as tall, medium build, dark gray eyes, dark brown hair; occupation: music teacher, Kimball Building, Chicago.¹⁴

Marvin and Della were divorced sometime before 1929.^12,28  Della and daughter Madge were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 7 1930), 547 Franklin Ave., River Forest, Cook County, Illinois:²⁸

Della died Jun 26 1933, River Forest, Cook County, Illinois; buried Forest Home.^29,30  

He then married Ebba Gerda Florence Lindestrom² [Florence Lindstrom^8,12,13,17], 1929².  Ebba was born Jan 28 1891, Illinois.^12,13,18,31  

Marvin and Florence were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 16 1930) 1321 Touhy Ave., Chicago, Illinois:¹²

Not long after his third marriage, Marvin suffered several strokes and was an invalid from then on, eventually bedridden, largely paralyzed and unable to speak clearly.  Florence nursed him until his death.²⁰  They apparently retired to South Dakota.¹³  

Marvin and Florence were shown in the 1940 census (Apr 18-20 1940) 501 Huron Grand Capital, Pierre, Hughes County, South Dakota:¹³

Marvin Victor Hinshaw died Jul 28 1954, Los Angeles County, California; age 80 years.^11,18  

In 1993 Florence was living in/near Marshfield, Wood County, Wisconsin.³¹  

Ebba died Feb 24 1993, Wood County, Wisconsin; buried Riverside Cemetery, Pierre, Hughes County, South Dakota.^18,31,32
