Nannie had been previously married to Alfred W. Harlan, Sep 6 1885, Oregon County, Missouri, by whom she had children Emma Harlan and Smith Alfred Harlan.¹

Nannie and children were shown in the 1900 census (Jun 20-21 1900), Thayer, Oregon County, Missouri:²

Nannie and son Joseph were shown in the 1910 census (May 2 1910), living in the household of Nannie's daughter Emma Harlan Shipper, Thayer, Oregon County, Missouri:³

The findagrave.com memorial for Nannie states she married a William A. Henshaw, and further identifies him as William Alfred Hinshaw #5007.¹ This seems improbable. Although William did marry several times, and did live in Missouri, by 1895 (when this marriage occured) William was already married, having children by that marriage, and most likely living in Mississippi County, Missouri, not Oregon County. Furthermore, son Joseph was shown in the 1900 census with his father having been born in Alabama; William Alfred Hinshaw was born in Kentucky.
