On Jun 5 1918 Luther Leon Hinshaw, age 21, registered for the World War I draft in Columbia County, Arkansas (Luther Leon Hinshaw in handwriting at the top of the draft card, but signed Luther Leondies Hinshaw at the bottom). He declared he was born Aug 12 1896 in Waldo, Arkansas, and his then residence was still Waldo, Arkansas, where he was employed as a farmer by his father, E.B. Hinshaw. He declared his nearest relative was his father, E.B. Hinshaw of Waldo, Arkansas. He was recorded as having blue eyes, light hair.7
He married Epsie -, about 1920.1 Epsie was born about 1901, Arkansas.1
