A.D. Hinshaw was shown in a Mar 10 1861 membership ledger of Port Williams Christian Church, Lawrence County, Indiana. Also shown in the church membership were brother Wm. H. Hinshaw and sister E.J. Hinshaw.⁵

On Jul 11 1863 A. D. Hinshaw, of Lawrence County, enlisted as a Corporal in Company F, 112th Indiana Infantry. Mustered out at Indianapolis, Indiana on Jul 16 1863.⁶

He married Cornelia -³ [Camelia A. -²], about 1870³. Cornelia was born Mar 8 1845, Indiana.^2,3,4,7,8

Cornelia died Feb 4 1934, buried Plot 8 Row F, Mount Olive Cemetery, Williams, Lawrence County, Indiana.⁴
