Note that Mary's sister, Elizabeth Newman, married John Henshaw (relationship to Edmund Henshaw unknown).

In 1831 Thomas and Eliza (Field) Henshaw sold to Albert Early a tract of land which had been devised to Mary Newman Henshaw by her brother, James Newman.^g    In 1832 Thomas and Virenda Davis, of Orange County, sold to Albert Early a tract of land devised by Jas. Newman to Mary N. Henshaw.^g

Edmund Henshaw died Apr 26 1841.^h
