Born May 10 1842, Larkin, Jackson County, Alabama.2,6,8,9,11,12,13  

During the Civil War Albert served as a private in Company I, 55th Alabama Volunteer Infantry.11,14,15  He enlisted on Nov 29 1862 at Bellefonte, Alabama15,16 (Scottsboro, Alabama).11  This was the same date and place where Newton Hinshaw also enlisted in the same unit.15  Albert served until he beacme sick and was discharged from the hospital by the Board of Physicians at Montgomery, Alabama in 1865.11,16  Albert later filed for a pension in Jackson County, Alabama.14  

He married Eliza Catherine Counts1,2,17,18 [Elizabeth C. Counts19, Liza Kathrine County20, Lilah C. Counts8], Aug 6 18681,2,17,18, Jackson County, Alabama1,2,17,18.  Eliza, daughter of Andrew Jackson Counts & Elizabeth J. "Eliza" Hardin2,3,7,21, was born Apr 14 18512,3,7,21 [Apr - 18526, about 18538], Jackson County, Alabama2,3,7,21 [Tennessee20].
