Native of Clay County, retired oil field worker and farmer, member and trustee of Goodwill Methodist Church. Surviving also: daughters, Mrs. Emma Cooke and Miss Audrey, both of Newton, Mrs. Bessie Martin of Charleston; son, Dallas of Indiana; other sisters, Mrs. Esther O'Banion of Indiana, Mrs, Lillie Hushman of Charleston; brothers, Van of Bomont, Grover of Widen.
