Mrs. Donna Caviness Hinshaw LIBERTY - Mrs. Donna Caviness Hinshaw, 73, formerly of 8604 Moody Road, Liberty, died Sunday morning, June 29, 2003 at Alamance Health Care in Burlington. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church with the Rev. Howard Spray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hinshaw was a native of Alamance County and was retired from Western Electric-AT&T after 36 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church and Circle #3 of her church. Mrs. Hinshaw was a 1948 graduate of E.M. Holt High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wade Hinshaw Jr., and her parents, William H. and Mammie Oliver Caviness.
Surviving are sons, Kenneth Hinshaw and his wife, Zula, and Fred Hinshaw ad his wife, Lisa, all of Liberty; grandchildren, Kendra H. King and her husband, Clancy; great-grandchildren, Cameron H. King, Sydney L. King and Jackson L. Murray; sisters, Mrs. Rebecca C. White and her husband, Bob, of Elon and Mrs. Mary C. Kimrey and her husband, Jack, of Burlington; and brothers, William H. (Bill) Caviness and his wife, Betty, and Tommy Ray Caviness, both of Burlington.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Pleasant Hill Church Fellowship Hall. At other times the family will be at the residence of the son, Kenneth Hinshaw, 8502 Moody Lane, Liberty, N.C.
