Ramona Lynn Hinshaw

Ramona was placed for adoption in June, 1956, finalized in August 1957, with Maurice Eugene Kerr and his wife Kathryn Ann Duke Kerr (Maurice b May 28 1924, Gallipolis, Ohio; d June 2 1976; Kathryn b March 5 1916, Knoxville, Illinois; d June 30 1987, Chillicothe, Ohio).¹

Ramona's name was changed to Deborah Kerr, and she was raised in Chillicothe, Ohio (ironically just about 15 miles away from her biological father).¹

She was never fond of her adopted name and, perhaps feeling at the time that she was cut-off from her roots, she wanted a name of her own. So when she was in college, she changed her name under the Common Law of the State of Ohio (meaning no court proceedings) to Ginger-Lyn Summer.¹ Only later did she discover her birth name and the coincidence of "lyn" in her chosen new name.¹

She then married Richard Louis Putt¹ [Richard Louis Summer¹], Jul 7 1995¹, Glen Echo Park, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio¹. Richard, son of John Louis Putt & Suzann Mae Aubrecht, was born Jul 15 1971, Akron, Ohio.¹

Richard decided to change his name to Richard Louis Summer when he married Ginger-lyn.¹

Ginger-lyn and Richard currently (1997) have no children, but have five cats (Wolfie, Shadow Dancer, Harvey, Sylvia and Skye).¹
