Marian Hinshaw
DUNLAP -- Marian R. Hinshaw, 95, formerly of rural Dunlap, died at 12:53 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Apostolic Christian Skylines Inc., Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Ministers of the church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 this evening at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Princeville. Memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Skylines, Inc., 7023 NE Skyline Drive, Peoria, Ill. 61614.
Born Sept. 12, 1908, in Princeville, the daughter of Alva and Olivia (Kuntz) Ricketts, she married Harold Hinshaw on Dec. 15, 1934, in Peoria. He preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1967, in Peoria.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers and a sister.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Mary Jane) Hinshaw and John (Cheryl) Hinshaw, both of Dunlap; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Judy) Wilmoth of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Jim (Nancy) Herron of Dunlap; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roy Ricketts of Peoria.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Herron Motors in Dunlap for many years and later for Wyoming Motors.
She was a member of Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville.
