At Whitewater MM on 1-28-1835, Jesse B. was received on a certificate from New Garden MM.15
He married Lydia Cowgill, Dec 12 1835, Wayne County, Indiana.14,15,16,17
At Whitewater MM on 1-27-1836, Jesse B. condemned his marriage contrary to discipline & was received in membership.15
At New Garden MM on 2-20-1836, Lydia Cowgill was reported married contrary to discipline by Newport PM; on 8-19-1836, Lydia Hinshaw (formerly Cowgill) condemned her marriage contrary to discipline; membership retained. On 6-18-1836 Lydia was granted a certificate to Whitewater MM.14
At Whitewater MM on 7-27-1836, Lydia was received on a certificate from New Garden MM.15
At Whitewater MM on 10-26-1836, Jesse B. & wife Lydia were granted a certificate to Duck Creek MM.15
At Duck Creek MM on 12-22-1836, Jesse B. & Lydia were received on a certificate from Whitewater MM.18
He then married Martha Cary1,2,13,16,19 [Martha Stratton20, Martha Strattan16,21], Feb 9 18401,2,13,16,19, Henry County, Indiana1,2,13,16,19. Martha, daughter of Waitstill/Weitzel Munson Cary & Nancy Rock, was born Jan 20 1809, Ohio.1,3,19
Martha had been previously married Jan 26 1832 to Benjamin Stratton,19 by whom she had a daughter, Nancy C. Stratton.3

Mrs. Mary Henshaw.
Mrs. Mary Henshaw, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Solon Benbow, of Kalamazoo, Mich., at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, after nearly a year of suffering. She was 80 years old last March. Mrs. Henshaw made her home in this city for some time with her daughter, Mrs. W. B. Hollingsworth. Besides Mrs. Benbow and Mrs. Hollingsworth, one son, Joseph Henshaw, of Knightstown, Ind., survives her. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon in Kalamazoo.
