On Jun 5 1917 Henry R. Berk, age 25, had registered for the World War I draft in Spokane County, Washington.  He declared he was born May 1st 1892 in Cleveland, Ohio, and was then residing at 2519 Ralph St., Spokane, a salesman for Pacific Manifolding Book Co. of Emeryville, California.  He declared he was single, without dependents, and no previous military service.  He was recorded as short, slender, brown eyes, brown hair.9
