JOSEPH D. HENSHAW
Henshaw, Joseph D., age 82, died Wednesday in Seattle.
Born in Anacortes, he moved to Mount Vernon at an early age and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1936.
He was an Army Air Corp pilot during World War II. He served in London and trained cadet pilots in the USA. After the war he worked for Lakeside Western Lumber Company in Mount Vernon. Later he worked for other lumber and hardware companies from Bellingham to Seattle. He moved to Los Angeles in 1970 and worked for Monroe Systems until retirement.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou (Robert) Maag of Seattle and Betsy (Matt) Greenway of Ferndale; three grandsons: Joseph, Alan, and Kenneth Payne all of Seattle area. He was a brother of Margaret (Topsy) (Robert Nordland) of Samish Island and Frances (Don) Smith of Seattle.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Robert and Jack (BJ).
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Kern Funeral Home.
Memorials may go to a favorite charity.
