Hodgin on August 24, 1859, Randolph County, North Carolina. They were married two days later by Joseph Causey, M.G.5  

Joseph, son of Jabez Hodgin & Sarah Stanton, was born Nov 16 1839, Guilford County, North Carolina.1

After Emily died Joseph remarried to Lucinda C. Anthony.1
