The Bud Hinshaw family bible lists him as "Edd";^1,5 his grave marker shows his name as Edward.¹ He was also apparently sometimes called Cliff.⁷

On Jun 5 1917 Edd Clifford Hinshaw, age 27, registered for the World War I draft in Randleman, Randolph County, North Carolina. He declared he was born Dec 31 1890 in [..unclear..] North Carolina, and was then residing in Randleman where he was single and a self-employed farmer. He was recorded as tall, slender, blue eyes, dark brown hair.⁵

He married Mabel E. Ferree, Dec 24 1917, Randolph County, North Carolina.^1,2,10 Mabel was born Jun 2 1893, North Carolina.^1,2,6,8,11

Edward Clifford Hinshaw died Aug 5 1965, buried Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman, Randolph County, North Carolina.^7,8,9

Edward's obituary was published in "The High Point Enterprise" (High Point, North Carolina) on Thursday, August 5, 1965¹² (see scan below).

Mabel died Mar 30 1993, New Salem, Randolph County, North Carolina; buried Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman, Randolph County, North Carolina.^1,8,9,11
