Uriah became an officer of the Center MM, Iowa.⁶³

He married Margaret Lucinda Janeway, Jun 30 1864, Jefferson County, Iowa.^59,63,205    Margaret, daughter of Charles Janeway & Susan (Susanna) Hammer, was born Sep 15 1844, Jefferson County, Tennessee.^{63,f,g,c,d,e,205}

Note: In spite of the IGI reference to this marriage occuring in Jefferson County, it is more likely that Uriah and Margaret were probably actually married in Jasper County.    In the late 1840s the Janeway family had moved to Jasper County, near the present town of Kellogg (then known as Hammer's Grove), and so Margaret was living in Jasper County at the time of the marriage.^h    And Uriah and Margaret are shown in the 1880 census living in Kellogg Township, Jasper County.¹²⁶    Jasper County was also the site of Center MM where their marriage was recorded.⁶³

The following article was published in The "Kellogg Enterprise" (Kellogg, Jasper County, Iowa) on June 29, 1888:^k

-- We learn from the Journal that a re-union of about 300 descendants of Isaac Hammer occurred on Wednesday of last week at the residence of Uriah Hinshaw.    I.L. Hammer, of Kellogg, called the meeting to order at 11 o'clock a.m., after which the program of the day, consisting of music, speeches, a grand dinner &c., was carried out in a manner to insure a good time for all.    The next re-union will be held on the 3rd Wednesday in June, 1890.

-- This afternoon Mr. Uriah Hinshaw and wife returned from a seven month stay in the west.    They left Newton last November, and after spending some time in Dakota, Washington and Oregon with relatives and friends, the balance of the time has been spent in Southern California at Whittimore with a son, and with relatives at San Diego. - Newton Daily News

He then married Catherine Call, Sep - 1918.²⁰⁵    Catherine was born c1888, Tennessee.ⁿ    Catherine had two children, Ernest C. and Dean B. Call.ⁿ

Uriah's obituary was published in "The American Friend" on April 11, 1929 (page 280).^p
