She married Robert Sinclair1,6, Jun 11 18421,6 [(Jun 2 1842).7], Clinton County, Ohio1,6.  (Probably married in Jefferson Township).2  Robert, son of William Sinclair & Mary Gilbert, was born Feb 25 1819, Ohio.2,3,5  

Note that Eleanor's sister Rebecca married Robert's brother, Gilbert Sinclair.8

Asa Sinclair, born Oct 19 1843, Clinton County, Ohio; died Oct 5 1922, Leavenworth Co. KS; married Mary Ann Curtis (children: Alonzo Simon, Rosa Ellen, Willard Andrew, Edward Robert, Webster Hugh, Sarah Jenett, Franklin Asa, Mary Edith "May", Ella Sue, and Charles Alfred Sinclair).
Lavina Sinclair, born May 1 1846; died Aug 1 1909; married Hugh Nesbitt Cosgrove/Crosgrove (children: John Marion, Clarence Earl, and Nettie Jane Cosgrove).
Simon Sinclair, born Mar 31 1849 (1848); died Feb 14 1923; married c1872, Caroline Malissa Overman (child: Lucy Myrtle Sinclair).
Louisa Sinclair, born Jul 2 1850 (c1845); died Apr 17 1924; married Charles Edmonds (children: Edward H., Charles Fred, Albert Vaughn, Effie L., Elva U., Otto A., Mather J., Oliver N., and Paul Irving Edmonds).

Eleanor and family were shown in the 1850 census (Oct 18 1850), Huntington County, Indiana:3

Eleanor and Robert Sinclair separated sometime before the 1880 census, and divorced in Leavenworth County, Kansas on an undetermined date.2  Robert was shown in the 1880 census living alone in Alexandria Township, Leavenworth County, Kansas:9

Sinclair, Robbert, age 61, born in Ohio; parents born in Virginia; farmer; married.

Eleanor was shown in the 1900 census (Jun 25 1900), living (or staying) with the family of cousin John Hinshaw in Washington Township, Randolph County, Indiana:4

St. Clair, Ellenor, cousin, age 73, born Jan 1827 in Ohio; parents born in North Carolina; divorced; 11 children, 9 living.

Robert died Feb 20 1901, Leavenworth County, Kansas; buried Bethel Cemetery, Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.2,5  

Eleanor Ratcliffe Hinshaw died Nov 23 1909, McLouth, Jefferson County, Kansas; buried Wild Horse Cemetery, Graham County, Kansas.2,5,10  

Eleanor's obituary was printed in "The McLouth Times" (McLouth, Jefferson County, Kansas) on Friday, November 26, 1909:10,11

Death of Mrs. Sinclair

Eleanor Hinshaw was born January 27, 1827, died at her daughter's Mrs. Charles Edmonds, November 23, 1909, age 82 years, 9 months and 26 days.  She married in 1842 to Mr. Robert Sinclair.  There were born to this union four children, one of whom is living.  She was a member of the Christian Church.  Funeral services were held at Mrs. Chas. Edmonds' home November 24 conducted by Rev E.E. McAferty.  She was buried at Wild Horse Cemetery by the side of her sister, Mrs. John Millikan.
