She married - Gaswent, about 1884.4

Sarah "Sadie" Gaswent, born May 1888, Kansas.

Mary's husband apparently died before 1900, and it seems that Mary remarried and was widowed again.2  

Widow Mary and daughter Sadie were shown in the 1900 census (Jun 4 1900), living in the same dwelling (apparently an apartment house) with her parents and family on Grant Ave. (north side), Clay Center, Clay County, Kansas:2

Dakin [unclear], Marie [unclear], head-of-household, age 34, born Mar 1866 in Missouri; parents born in Indiana; widow; 3 children, 1 living; rented home.
Gasswint, Sadie, daughter, age 12, born May 1888 in Kansas; father born in Pennsylvania; mother born in Missouri; attended school 9 months.

Mary Hinshaw died about 1900.4  

Daughter Sadie was shown in the 1910 census (Apr 25 1910), living with Mary's parents in Clay Center, Clay County, Kansas:

Gaswint, Sadie, granddaughter, age 21, born in Kansas; father born in Pennsylvania; mother born in Missouri; single; occupation: servant, hotel.
