Born Mar 20 18731,3,4,6,7,9,10,11, Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa1,3,4,6,7,9,10,11 [Keokuk County, Iowa5].  

Stella became a Quaker minister.2  

She married Curtis Mahlon Hockett, Mar 8 1905, Aurora MM, South Dakota.1,5,9,10,12  Curtis, son of William Edwin Hockett & Mary Emily Carey, was born Aug 18 1875, Grant County, Indiana.1,3,4,5,6,7,8,10,13,14  

Stella and Curtis farmed near Stickney, South Dakota.2  They later moved to Tucson, Arizona because of son Don's health.2

At Aurora MM (South Dakota ) on 6-18-1914 Curtis M. Hockett was granted a certificate to Kemma MM, Nebraska.5  

On Sep 12 1918 Curtis Mahlon Hockett, age 43, registered for the World War I draft in Center, Nebraska (registering for Aurora County, South Dakota).  He declared he was born August 18th 1875, and was then residing in Bloomfield, Knox County, Nebraska, employed as a laborer by J.B. Earl of Stickney, South Dakota.  He declared his nearest relative was Stella Hockett of Bloomfield.  He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, brown hair.14  

At Aurora MM (South Dakota ) on 4-12-1919 Curtis Hockett and wife Stella (ministers) & children Esther, Florence and Curtis Donald were received on a certificate from Kemma MM, Creighton, Nebraska.5  

At Aurora MM (South Dakota ) on 5-10-1919 Curtis M. Hockett and wife Stella & children Esther Elizabeth, Florence A. and Curtis Donald were received on a certificate from Kemma MM, Nebraska.5
