Frances A. Hinshaw, age 21, born in Indiana.

William T. Hinshaw, age 1, born in Kentucky.

Carroll Hinshaw, male, age 22, born in Tennessee; laborer; cannot read or write.

Living two houses away was Thomas & Catherine Goldsmith,^e who might have been the parents of Frances.^f

The Carroll Hinshaw above in the 1860 census is currently unidentified, but he might possibly have been Carrel Hinshaw #721^f (if so the perhaps Andrew and Carrel might have been closely related).^f

Frances died after 1860.¹⁶³ (probably about 1864).¹⁶³

He then married Nancy L. Godwin, Sep 1 1867, Hickman County, Kentucky.^b,163 (Nancy L. (Godwin) McDougal) Nancy had been previously married to -- McDougal.^b Nancy, daughter of William Cornelius Godwin & Sabella Brandon, was born Aug 12 1841, Rutherford County, Tennessee.^b,163,222,g (Aug - 1859).^h (Nancy's father William was born May 11 1815, died Sep 2 1905, Mississippi County, Missouri).^b

Andrew Jackson Hinshaw died Mar 22 1887, Mississippi County, Missouri; buried Brownsville Cemetery, Hickman County, Kentucky.¹⁶³ His headstone reads:

Heaven now retains our treasure.
Earth the lonely casket keeps, and the sunbeams long to linger where our sainted Father sleeps.

His gravestone adjoins the grave of his son John.

After Andrew died, widow Nancy was cared for by son Luther, who never married, as he felt an obligation to care for her.¹⁶³
