He declared he was born Aug 29 1876, and was then residing in Hickman, Fulton County, Kentucky where he was a self-employed farmer. He declared his nearest relative was Nancy Laincy [unclear] Hinshaw of Hickman, Kentucky. He was recorded as 5' 11" tall, medium build, brown eyes, brown hair.¹
