Woodland Park - Maryellen Mitchell, 83, formerly of Colorado Springs died Saturday, September 27, 2014 from natural causes. She was born April 6, 1931 in Colorado Springs to Clarence "Mitch" Hinshaw and Marie (Collins) Hinshaw.
She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1949. She and John W. Mitchell were married for 62 years.
She is survived by her sons Don (Dee) Mitchell of Greeley, CO; Jerry Mitchell of Colorado Springs, CO; Jay (Deb) Mitchell of Owasso, OK; two granddaughters, Megan Mitchell, and Erin Mitchell of Owasso, OK; sisters; Betty Maize of Westminster, CO; and Laura Summers of Colorado Springs, CO.
Services will be held at a future date at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, CO.
Maryellen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by many.
