On Sep 12 1918 Edward Franklin Bowers, age 41, registered for the World War I draft in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona.  He declared he was born Sep 7 1877, and was then residing at 213 N. Alarcon St., Prescott, Arizona, occupied as a life insurance agent, employed by Equitable Life of New York.  He declared his nearest relative was his wife, Clay Bowers, of the same address.  He was recorded as tall, medium build, blue eyes, light brown hair.11

Louisa Clay Henshaw died May 6 1950, at her home, 2602 N. 3rd St., Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona; age 73y 8m 3d.5  

Note: Louisa's death certificate clearly shows burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix;5 however there is a marker for Louisa in Masonic Cemetery in Prescott, where Ed is buried6 (see scans below).  It is uncertain if the death certificate is incorrect, or if the marker in Prescott is only a marker (but she is not buried there), or if perhaps she might have been buried first in Phoenix then later moved to Prescott.19
