After high school, Albert attended Arizona State Teacher's College.2
He married Juanita Helen Fuller.2 Juanita, daughter of - Fuller & Floeta Fern Oswalt.2
Albert enlisted in the army in 1941. He was aboard a troop ship bound for the Philippines when the skipper received a coded message that Pearl Harbor had been bombed. For the next five months he saw action in the South Pacific and then was reassigned to Ft. Lewis, Washington. In the five years that he served he advanced in every grade from Pfc. to his final rank of Warrant Officer at the end of the war.1
The war caused difficulty with their marriage, and Al and Juanita were eventually divorced. Son Al Jr. remained in Al's custody and was raised with the help of Al's parents.2
He then married Millicent Ann Brown.3 Millicent was born Seattle, King County, Washington.
In 1948 Albert was living at 904 North 19th Street, Phoenix, Arizona.6
He then married Sydney Nabors.1 Sydney had a son, Brad, who Albert adopted.1
In the 1960s, Al decided to become an independent cotton broker, a decision he never regretted.1
