Donald Joseph Henshaw

Don made his solo airplane flight on his sixteenth birthday, even before obtaining an automobile driver's license.⁴

He married Alexis Marie Welch, Sep 8 2000, Naples, Italy.^1,6 Alexis, daughter of Charles Douglas Welch & Karen Teresa Petrino, was born Jul 8 1978, Melrose, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.¹

Don serves in the United States Navy, stationed (2002) at Naval Station Newport, attending an Officer Accession Program called Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST). He graduated in June 2002, then reported to the Naval Science Institute for two months of rigorous military training consisting of Naval Sea Power (History), Engineering, Weapons and Guidance Systems, and Navigation I and II.¹ He then reported to the NROTC unit at the University of Nebraska.⁷

Alexis is also serving in the United States Navy (2002) and is stationed at the National Airborne Operations Command (NAOC) at Offut AFB, Nebraska. Her job specialty and rank is CTA2 (Cryptologic Technician Second Class).¹

Don expects to graduate from the University of Nebraska in May 2005, where he will earn a commission as a Naval Officer and will become a Surface Warfare Officer (ship driver).⁷
