Threshing Machines Humming
In several sections of the county the hum of the threshing machines could be heard today. At the Bonderer farm near Utica the first threshing of the season for that section of the county was underway. At the Elmer Hinshaw farm south of town the first threshing for this section was under way this morning and the threshers expected to complete this job and move to the Chas. D. Ford home this afternoon. It is also reported that threshing is underway in the vicinity of Wheeling.

Had Since Resided Here.Elmer Henshaw, 72 years old, died at the Chillicothe hospital Monday morning at 5:20 o'clock from diabetes. Saturday Mr. Henshaw had his left leg amputated in an effort to check the disease but without results. The body is at the Norman Funeral Home.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, Clarence Henshaw, Carlock, Ill., Arthur Henshaw, Fairfax, Mo., and Doss Henshaw, Gladstone, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Butler and Miss Irene Payton, Lincoln, Neb.; Miss Myrtle Henshaw, Bloomington, Ill.; Mrs. John D. Williams of this city; a brother, Frank Henshaw, Hudson, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Eastman, Eureka, Ill., and Mrs. Sadie Starkey, Hudson, Ill.
Mr. Henshaw came to Chillicothe from Illinois in 1908 and had since made his home here.
Mr. and Mrs. Rex Broyles and son, Eugene, of Independence, Mo., spent the week-end with relatives in and near Chula.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Shibers, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Fisher and daughter, Suzanna, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., were Sunday guests of Mrs. P. F. Romeiser and Mrs. J. H. Mansur.
Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Brooks and son, Roscoe, and Mrs. Brooks of Bloomfield, Iowa, were guests of Mr. Brooks' sister, Mrs. J. F. Krewson, Sunday. This is the first time Mr. Brooks and his sister has visited each other for thirty years.
Frank, Clarence, Doss and Miss Myrtle Henshaw and Mrs. Starkey are expected to arrive here tonight to attend the funeral.
Funeral services will be held from the Norman Funeral Home chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Mrs. Nettie Hinshaw Died Sunday Noon Passed Away at Home, 1413 Bryan Street; Funeral Services Tuesday.
Mrs. Nettie Reid Hinshaw died at her home, 1413 Bryan street, Sunday noon following a stroke which she suffered last Tuesday.
She was born June 22, 1865, at El Paso, Ill., and was married to Elmer Hinshaw in 1883. Mr. Hinshaw died October 6, 1935.
The family moved to Missouri in 1908 [unclear] and had resided in Chillicothe for a number of years.
Nine children survive. They are Clarence Hinshaw, Carlock, Ill.; Milt Hinshaw, Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Myrtle Sutton, Bloomington, Ill.; Doss Hinshaw, Oquanaka, Ill.; Mrs. Irene Dappen, Dawson, Neb.; Mrs. Helen Malone, Omaha, Neb.; Arthur R. Hinshaw, Hutchison, Kas., and Mrs. John Williams of this city, and twenty-four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. A. S. Day, pastor of First Baptist church. Interment will be in Edgewood.

Elmer and Nettie are buried with son Virgil.14,26
