Hinshaw, Oscar F., head-of-household, age 28, born in Illinois; parents born in Illinois; first married at age 24; rented home; no radio in home; occupation: farmer, general farm; not a veteran.
Hinshaw, Ellen E., wife, age 25, born in Illinois; parents born in Illinois; first married at age 21.
Hinshaw, Margret C., daughter, age 4, born in Illinois; parents born in Illinois.
Hinshaw, Donald F., son, age 2 years 4 months, born in Illinois; parents born in Illinois.
Hinshaw, Mary J., daughter, age 3 months, born in Illinois; parents born in Illinois.
Living next door on one side in 1930 were Oscar's parents;10 next door on the other side was the family of sister Mabel.11

The following obituary appeared in the "Peoria Journal Star" on November 26, 1991:3

Oscar F. Hinshaw, 89, of Rural Route 1 died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 1991, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in El Paso.  Born Jan. 12, 1902, in Hudson to Frank W. and Grace Gildersleeve Hinshaw, he married Ellen Maple on Sept. 30, 1925, in El Paso.  She died Jan. 6, 1973.  One brother and one grandson also preceded him in death.  Surviving are one son, Donald of rural Hudson; two daughters, Margaret Graff of Hopedale and Mary Jane Wisdom of Hillsboro; four sisters, Mable Shiner of El Paso, Edith Klump of Carlock, Lola Madix of Hudson, and Evelyn Meis of Lexington; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  He was a livestock and grain farmer and was director of Hudson Grain Elevator.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beck Memorial Home, Hudson, the Rev. Sondra Newman officiating.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the memorial home.  Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to any charity.
