Born May 24 1883^5,6,7,8 [Apr - 1883⁹, about 1888⁴, about 1890²], Canadian, Pittsburg County, Indian Territory (Oklahoma)^5,6,7,8 [South McAllister, Oklahoma¹⁰].  

On Jul 14 1911 Harry Hinshaw, age 28y 1m, enlisted at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri in Company E, 5th Cavalry, U.S. Army.  He declared he was born in So. McAllister, Oklahoma, and was then occupied as a farmer.  He was recored as 5'9½" tall, blue eyes, fark brown hair, fair complexion.  He was honorably discharged Jul 13 1914.¹⁰  

He married Edna Gillian Parvin^1,7,11 [Gillian Parvin¹²], Nov 4 1917^1,7,11, Stuttgart, Arkansas^1,7,11.  Edna, daughter of George Fernando Parvin & Laura Emma McInturf, was born Jan 19 1903, Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas.^2,3,11,12,13  

Harry and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 23 1920), Woodland Ave., Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas (inexplicably recorded by the census taker as "Blocker"):⁴

Harry and family were shown in the 1940 census (Apr 18 1940), living with (or staying with) Edna's (apparently remarried) mother on North Broadway, Tipton, Tillman County, Oklahoma:³

On Apr 25 1942 Harry (no middle name) Hinshaw, age 58, registered for the World War II draft in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He declared he was born May 24 1883 in Canadian, Oklahoma, and was then residing at 232 Southwest 5th, Oklahoma City; unemployed.  He declared his relative/contact was Edna G. Hinshaw of the same address.  He was recorded as 5'10½" tall, 165 lbs., gray eyes, gray hair, ruddy complexion, and "A broken nose".⁶

Harry Charles Hinshaw died Nov 20 1957, buried Pleasant Valley Cemetery, SW 59th & Council, Wheatland, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.^7,8  

In 1997 Edna was living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.⁷  

Edna died Jan 1 1997, buried Pleasant Valley Cemetery, SW 59th & Council, Wheatland, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.^7,12,13
