Member of the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. Survived by 1 son, Marvin Hinshaw of CA; 2 daughters, Delores Pettijohn of Okc and Bonita Stewart of Bethany. Services 2pm Tues. Guardian West Chapel, interment Bethany Cemetery directed by Guardian West.

Hinshaw, Roy L., 80, retired meat cutter, died Sat. Mar. 31, 1990 at his home in Bethany after a long illness. He was born in Fargo, OK, April 13, 1909 to Benjamin Franklin and Elvira Bell Hinshaw. He attended school and graduated from High school in Cedar, KS. On Sept. 13, 1930 he married Ila Mae Bryant in Woodward, OK, they had 5 children. They moved to Bethany in 1948 and he had been a member of the Bethany First Nazarene Church since that time. He and his wife owned Hinshaws Grocery from 1959-67. He was a loyal, caring and loving father. His courage, sense of humor and positive outlook was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Ila Mae, son Darrel and daughter Dorothy. He is survived by one son, Marvin of Elverta, CA; daughters, Delores Pettijohn of OKC and Bonita Stewart of Bethany; sister, Opal Sage of Woodward; and brother, Arlo of Enid; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on April 3 at Guardian West Funeral Home. He will be greatly missed by all of us. We love you Daddy.
